Shamanic Snake Pattern

Materials
Bernat Velvet Yarn in 2 colours: 250 yards for your Main Color (MC) and 75 yards for your Second Color (2C) and some scrap white for the eyes
4.5 mm crochet hook
scissors
and 30mm saftey eyes. I got mine from Darkside Crochet
stitch markers
Stitch Abbreviations (US terms)
Sc - Single Crcohet
St - Stitch
Dec - Decrease
Inc - Increase = 2 Sc in same St
Rep โ Repeat
Mc - Main Colour
2c - Secondary Colour
Other Notes
You will be switching from your MC to your 2C throughout the pattern.
You will be swapping as follows, 18 rows MC, 9 Rows 2C.
continue to do this until you get to the head. The head is done in all MC.

Fasten and sew up
Eyes
Make 2
Row 1: Magic Ring and 6 Sc into it (6)
Row 2: 1 sc, 1 inc, rep 6 times (12)
Row 3: 2 Sc, 1 inc, rep 6 times (18)
Row 4 and 5: 18 Sc
Row 5: 1 Sc, 1 dec, rep 12 times, Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.
Donโt forget to pop in those safety eyes.
Eyelids
Row 1: Magic Ring and 6 Sc into it (6)
Row 2: 1 sc, 1 inc, rep 6 times (12)
Row 3: 2 Sc, 1 inc, rep 6 times (18)
Row 4 and 5: 18 Sc
Fold in half, 1 dec, 7 sc, 1 dec, the two edges together, Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.
Sew your eye lids on your eye to give it a bit of a lazy look, then sew this along the ridge we created on the head. Use the photo for reference.
Sew in your nostrils
Now, Enjoy your squishy snake friend! Where them as a scarf, curl them up on the couch, or just give them a good cuddle!
